Ffensio Morgan Dafydd Fencing was yet again commissioned by the Snowdonia National Park to replace a tired old wooden gate at the bottom of the busy Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) Llanberis path, allowing access to thousands of walkers to the starting point of their ascent up Snowdon.
Snowdon (Y Wyddfa) is the highest mountain in Wales, located in Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd, North Wales. Standing tall over the village of Llanberis, Snowdon is a part of a close-knit family of jagged peaks and can offer views of Snowdonia, Anglesey, Pembrokeshire and Ireland. There are six different paths to conquer this 1,085 metre (3,560 feet) giant, with Ffensio Morgan Dafydd Fencing's gate welcoming keen hikers on the bottom of Llanberis path.
It is the busiest mountain in the United Kingdom and the third most visited attraction in Wales; in 2018 it was visited by 558,000 walkers.
The gate is used approximately 250,000 a year, suggesting it could be the most used public gate in the whole of Wales!
